On October 9, 2019, Wallethub released the findings of a study they conducted to determine the best and worst cities in the U.S. for people living with disabilities. The study looked at 33 indicators of disability friendliness including access, economy, cost of living and available medical care. While Denver fared well, coming in at 7th of 133 surveyed cities, Colorado Springs and Aurora didn’t fare quite as well, ranking 45th and 84th respectively. This just goes to show that we still have work to do in the state of Colorado.
