Council Recognizes RTD

The Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities is the driving force behind legislation and educational campaigns that benefit persons with disabilities. In November 2015 the Council implemented the Think of Me, Keep It Free parking sign campaign as part of the Excuses Versus Reasons initiative. Communities have been receptive to the addition of the new signs that can be found in parking lots across Colorado.
Shortly after the “Think of Me, Keep It Free” parking campaign was released, The Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) partnered with the Council to implement the addition of the new signs at popular Light Rail station parking lots around the Denver Metro Area.
The Council would like to thank RTD for their efforts to support the Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities’ “Think of Me Keep it Free” Campaign. The Council would like to specifically thank Ed Neuberg, RTD ADA Manager, for his efforts in supporting the Council’s requests to raise awareness of the accessible parking violations in our state and his willingness to place these signs, in this case at the Mineral Park and Ride near the intersection of Mineral and Santa Fe Boulevard (pictured below).
On behalf of the Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities, thank you RTD and Mr. Neuberg for your ongoing dedication to the people of Colorado.
